And second, what are thebiological mechanisms by which hypertension alters brain homeostasis? By looking at the biological mechanisms ofthese relationships, this book provides insight to neuroscientists andneurologists regarding why anti-hypertension treatments make a bigdifference in the case of stroke, but have very little impact on cognitivedecline and brain aging.
