This Direct Drive Whole House Fan offers a highly efficient way to trim cooling costs while keeping your entire home more comfortable. The CX242DDWTUPS, 24-inch fan is suitable for homes with 1,200 - 2,000 square foot attics. Blade assembly is attached directly to the motor shaft. Tough steel motor struts virtually eliminate vibration. Precision balanced aluminum 4-blade fan assembly for greater air movement. Powder coated steel venturi for enhanced durability. Joist-in or joist-out installation, for ceiling mount application only. Rough opening is 26'' x 28''. Pre-assembled and ready for installation. A 2-speed thermally protected 1/3 HP, 3.8 amp, 115 volt/60 hertz PSC motor pulls hot air from your home and expels it through your attic exhaust vents. Includes a white automatic shutter and a 2-speed switch and wall plate. Requires 8 square feet of net free air attic exhaust area. Pre-assembled and ready for installation, it is covered by a 10-year limited warranty.
