Das Thema dieser Arbeit ist die chemische Oberflchenmodifikation von mesoporsen Glsern. Diese wurde genutzt, um Gemische hnlicher Gase zu trennen, die aufgrund der wirkenden Stofftransport- und Adsorptionsmechanismen nur durch spezifische Wechselwirkungen mit der Oberflche des Materials trennbar sind. Als Modellsystem wurde zum Einen die Trennung von Kohlenstoffdioxid und Propan als Gase mit gleichem Molekulargewicht gewhlt. Hierfr wurden mesoporse Glasmembranen mit zwei verschiedenen Amino-Trialkoxysilanen modifiziert, um die Adsorptionskapazitten fr Kohlenstoffdioxid zu erhhen und somit den Oberflchentransport dieser Spezies zu beeinflussen. Zum Anderen wurde die Trennung der Enantiomeren des ansthetischen Gases Desfluran untersucht. Dazu wurde ein Cyclodextrin-Derivat auf der Oberflche modifizierter Glaspartikel immobilisiert und als stationre Phase fr eine gaschromatographische Trennung genutzt. Das Buch richtet sich an Wissenschaftler und Studenten und beschreibt das komplexe Zusammenspiel von Stofftransport und Adsorption in porsen Medien.
