Mit ihrem Sondergutachten 80 aus dem Jahr 2018 legte die Monopolkommission gleichwohl einen Finger in die offene Wunde der Buchpreisbindung: Welcher legitime Schutzzweck liegt dem deutschen Buchpreisbindungsgesetz (BuchPrG) zugrunde? Auf welchen Schutzgegenstand kommt es an? Ist die Buchpreisbindung ein geeignetes, erforderliches und angemessenes Instrument? All diese Fragen untersucht die vorliegende rechtswissenschaftliche Arbeit facettenreich aus interdisziplinrer Perspektive und bietet Grundlagenforschung fr die weitere Diskussion der Buchpreisbindung und ihrer Legitimation.
