Die rumliche Prsenz wurde dabei als Mediator der Effekte identifiziert wie genau dieser Persuasionsmechanismus allerdings abluft, ist bisher ungeklrt. Daher wird die bisherige Forschung rund um die Wahrnehmung der rumlichen Prsenz in diesem Buch aufgearbeitet und systematisiert. Unterschiedliche Anstze und Theorien werden dabei miteinander in Verbindung gesetzt und die Vermutungen anhand von drei empirischen Laborexperimente geprft. Die Ergebnisse werden im Anschluss durch ein konzeptuelles Persuasionsmodell miteinander verbunden und ausfhrlich diskutiert.
