Die bisher erschienenen neun Bnde umfassen den Zeitraum 1764 bis 1822 und prsentieren ber 14.000 Briefregesten. Das mehrgliedrige Regest informiert ber den Inhalt des Briefes und stellt ihn in den Zusammenhang von Goethes persnlichen Korrespondenzbeziehungen. Die Briefregesten werden durch Orts-, Personen- und Werkregister ergnzt. Band 10 dokumentiert Goethes persnliche Korrespondenz in den Jahren 1823 und 1824. Er umfasst die Regesten von fast 1.100 Briefen von 448 Absendern.
