Flap Wheel Type 83 244D 3" x 1" x 1/4" 60 Grit Aluminum Oxide The Flap Wheel, type 83 or type 84, is a general purpose flap wheel that delivers a consistent finish and uniform cut. Made of aluminum oxide on a firm, X-weight cloth backing, this product can be used in a variety of grinding and polishing applications. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. The Flap Wheel, type 83 or type 84, is long lasting, fast cutting and resin bonded for heat resistance. It also features a straight spindle mount for easy attachment. For use with bench motors, die grinders and inline sanders. Applications are Blending, Descaling, Refining, Setting the Grain. Industries Include Metal Fabrication. - Pkg Qty 10.
