The Toru citrus squeezer is the perfect balance of a beautiful countertop piece and everyday functionality. Consisting of two sophisticated, minimalist parts - a stainless-steel body and a transparent lid - the Toru juicer demonstrates Nendo's ability to transform abstract concepts into tangible shapes. In Japanese, "Toru" means "through", and with this juicer, a black, tube-like element seems to pierce the lid, become its handles, and protrude from the steel body to act as a spout. This object is complicated to produce because the linear design requires a particularly challenging manufacturing process.
