OVERVIEW: The Pirelli P Zero Run Flat (PZ4) (*) is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for luxury and performance vehicles, depending on the tread design. The tire was designed using Pirelli's knowledge and experience gathered from Formula 1 racing. It is an original equipment tire for select BMW vehicles.This tire is a run flat model. It was manufactured with a reinforced construction that maintains the ideal tire shape under the weight of the vehicle and its passengers and enables the tire's limited temporary performance after air pressure loss. Once air pressure leaves the tire, it can still be driven on for 50 miles up to 50 mph. This enables the vehicle to safely arrive to a nearby location where the tire can be fixed or changed. These tires are made for vehicle with no space for a spare tire and they should not be mounted on the same vehicle together with regular tires.Depending on the type of vehicle the tire is mounted on, sport or luxury model, the shoulder tread pattern reacts differently. If the car is a performance model the outer shoulder tread design enhances the dry weather traction, the summer weather road grip and the lateral stability which together boost the vehicle's performing capability.
