This combination minimizes the space it takes up in the vehicle's trunk, making it easier to transport. However, it also means the tire cannot perform as well as a full sized spare tire can. The tire promotes a limited temporary performance when mounted on a vehicle, much like a donut spare tire. The performance speed is limited to 50 mph and the tire pressure must be 60 psi at all times. Compact or temporary spare tires do not offer as good of a performance as regular all season tires do, as a result, they should not be used in harsh weather.The shallow tread design and the all season tire compound work together to provide a suitable all weather performance.
