OVERVIEW: The Pirelli P Zero Run Flat (PZ4) is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for luxury and performance vehicles, depending on the tread design. The tire was designed using Pirelli's knowledge and experience gathered from Formula 1 racing. It is an original equipment tire for select Audi, Lamborghini and Porsche vehicles.This tire is a run flat model. It was manufactured with a reinforced construction that maintains the ideal tire shape under the weight of the vehicle and its passengers and enables the tire's limited temporary performance after air pressure loss. Once air pressure leaves the tire, it can still be driven on for 50 miles up to 50 mph. This enables the vehicle to safely arrive to a nearby location where the tire can be fixed or changed. These tires are made for vehicle with no space for a spare tire and they should not be mounted on the same vehicle together with regular tires.Depending on the type of vehicle the tire is mounted on, sport or luxury model, the shoulder tread pattern reacts differently. If the car is a performance model the outer shoulder tread design enhances the dry weather traction, the summer weather road grip and the lateral stability which together boost the vehicle's performing capability. The circumferential and wide lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning situations by channeling water away from the footprint, making the drive safer.The P Zero Run Flat (PZ4)'s internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with hybrid nylon and Kevlar Zero Degree cap ply. They maintain the tire's optimal shape under the driving pressure. As the tire does not deform under the driving forces, it is capable of effortlessly performing at high speeds. The optimal tire shape and the constant road contact enhance the steering responsiveness and driving stability.
