OVERVIEW: The Nitto Crosstek 2 is a highway terrain all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. This model has some touring, passenger vehicle sizes as well. Nitto offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with the S and T speed rated metric sizes and a 50,000 treadwear warranty with the H and V speed rated metric sizes and light truck sizes of this tire model.The tire promotes great all weather traction. The asymmetric tread design, with the special siping detail and large tread blocks, enhances the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The tire compound and the tread design work together to ensure a safer road grip in all weather conditions. The three circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The result is a safer all weather performance.The maintained road contact promotes better controllability. The stable contact patch enhances the steering responsiveness and driving stability as it keeps the tire close to the road surface at all times. In this manner, the steering responsiveness becomes quick and precise in its response time, while the tire's structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it during the drive. The tread design's large outer area tread blocks increase the number of biting edges that grip the road surface. The better road gripping ability upgrades the cornering ability and power and guarantees a secure driving experience.The Crosstek 2 features a 3D multi-wave interlocking sipe detail on its tread area. This manages to extend the tread life and to reduce the road noise levels. The sipes prevent tread flexing, which can cause irregular and premature tread wear, and with it allow the driving pressure to be evenly distributed along the tread area. This results in a longer lasting tread life and tire usability. The tread design with the siping detail also manages to channel the airwaves from the tire's footprint without letting them come into contact with the tread elements, successfully decreasing the road noise level heard during the drive.Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years.
