The Bell 4Forty MIPS is built to withstand the rigours of a trail riding life; with generous ventilation, the comfort of Float Fit and built-in Sweat Guide, extended rear coverage, a full hard-shell, adjustable visor, and the option of integrated MIPS protection. Boasting the comfort, protection and capable features of helmets costing twice as much, the 4Forty is an all-conditions, all-kinds of trail champion. Bell has designed the 4Forty to be an all-day trail luxury, 15 vents provide an excellent cooling over the prow helping reduce sweaty pads, combined with sweat Guide padding means less time wiping salt out of your eyes and more time nailing the trails. The retention and fit are comprised of Bells Float Fit systems giving 4 rear dial positions transitioning smoothly into the plastic cradle. Integrated into the 4Forty is MIPS protection, a new modern standard in helmet safety. MIPS PROTECTION MIPS stands for "Multi-directional Impact Protection System", which is a leading slip-plane technology inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts.
