Continental Mountain King Performance MTB Tire The Continental Mountain King II shows off its qualities on touring mountain bikes. Its open and grippy tread geometry makes it ideal as a front tire. The snappy center knobs and the grippy side knobs offer plenty of grip. Furthermore it offers excellent traction and high mileage thanks to PureGrip Compound. Because of these features the Mountain King II tire is the perfect companion for sporting trips. Trail riders, cross country racers, alpine tourists and marathon riders - this is a serious intermediate tire option. The affordable performance wire bead model comes with a honeycomb sidewall design. It also features a 180 tpi high density casing. Mountain King II Performance with Pure Grip-Compound: The low cost version as folding tire with the same tread and Pure Grip Compound. This rubber mix, given the self explanatory name "Pure Grip", is ranked just behind Conti'S BlackChili compound and is being used in their performance products both in the road and mountain bike sectors. Whilst providing great grip, it is also long lasting and highly durable - both characteristics of Continental tires, which are exclusively manufactured in the factory in Hefei (Asia).
