Giro Tyrant MIPS MTB Helmet The Tyrant MIPS helmet was developed to meet the needs of the new generation of trail and dirt jump riders. The Tyrant heralds the advent of mountain biking. While the style is subtle, the Tyrant has countless technical breakthroughs, including Wind Tunnel Ventilation and MIPS Spherical Technology. The outer shell of the helmet is made of EPS, which absorbs impact energy very well in high-speed crashes, while the inner shell is EPP foam with lower density to absorb residual energy. The additional coverage of this "full cut" design extends the protection zone and provides even more safety without sacrificing comfort.
