It accurately indicates when your chain reaches 0.5% and 0.75% wear, the thresholds at which most manufacturers recommend replacement. CC-4 Features: Replacement Guidelines: 5-to-10-speed chains: Replace at or just before 0.75% wear. 11, 12, 13-speed chains: Replace at or just before 0.5% wear.
