The combination of the tread pattern and tri-plex tread compound grips the road well in dry, wet and winter conditions. The tire also is resistant to dangerous hydroplaning situations as the tread pattern features tapered rain channels and cross traction sipes. The rain channels speed the water evacuation from below the footprint, while the traction sipes increase the wet and winter traction of the model.The model offers a longer lasting tread life. It was manufactured using the tri-plex tread compound, which offers a slower wear rate on the tire. The optimized tire footprint also allows the tire to distribute the driving force equally across the tread area. This equal distribution allows the tire to prevent irregular wear across the tread area, and since the tire wears out evenly, it is usable for a longer period of time.The tire's handling and steering responsiveness was improved as well.
