Georg Jensen Cobra Menorah

Traditional customs can have a contemporary style too so celebrate Hanukkah with this understated Scandinavian take on a menorah. Rising from a conical base, the candelabra branches out almost organically to hold nine tapered candles. It makes a beautiful centerpiece to a table at this special time of year. Designed by German-born Constantin Wortmann, Cobra is one of Georg Jensens most recognizable collections. The elegant fluidity of the shapes coupled with Wortmanns unmistakeable sense of humour gives Cobra a timeless appeal that ensures it is recognized as a contemporary classic. Constantin Wortmann studied industrial design in Hamburg and Munich. In the second year he worked first as an intern then as a freelance designer in the team of lighting maestro Ingo Maurer. In 1998, still being a student he co-founded the design studio Bro fr Form together with Benjamin Hopf. In the coming couple of years Wortmann designed projects for Ycami, VIBIA, Modoluce, Kundalini and Authentics. In 2004 BFF started to collaborate with OSRAM, working on future concepts with new lighting technologies (Planon, LED, Oled) and with Koziol brand.
