This attractive chess set features a traditional Staunton design with an elegant profile and a wide base giving each piece exceptional stability on the chess board when playing. The knight is unique from any other knight in the Italfama collection and is wonderfully sculpted with a simple, rustic design. The king is 7.3 cm (approx. 2.9") tall and has a base diameter of 2.9 cm (approx. 1.125"). The pieces are made from solid brass and are lacquered to prevent them from ever tarnishing. Pieces have red felt pads with each one embossed with the Italfama logo..The chess case is beautifully designed and skillfully constructed by the craftsmen of Italfama and compliments the richness of the brass pieces . The case features solid fruit wood frame with an elegant molded profile surrounding a beautiful brown and white Tuscan alabaster chess board on top.
