This chess set includes our German Knight Tournament Special Plastic chess pieces matched with our Walnut and Maple Floppy Mouse Pad Chess Board. This is the plastic version of the most popular wood chess set in our collection - The German Knight Staunton. The German Knight is a favorite for club players and used more than any other set in tournaments. The wood grain pieces are made from a durable plastic and will withstand the rigors of regular play for a lifetime. The king is 3.9" tall and has a base diameter of 1.7". The pieces are nicely weighted for exceptional stability on the chess board and we include 2 extra queens for pawn promotion.Our Walnut and Maple Floppy Mouse Pad Chess Board offers the best of both worlds combining the features and advantages of a floppy board with the color and texture of a real wood chess board. You can roll it up and even fold it and this chess board will lie perfectly flat the second you lay it down. The top surface is covered with a durable fabric with a no-shine finish that makes it the perfect surface for playing chess. This is a regulation size chess board with 2.25" squares and measures 20" overall.
