Its asymmetric tread pattern also improves its road grip and handling in these conditions. The tread design's wide circumferential grooves help channel the water from beneath the footprint of the tire, eliminating the risk of hydroplaning and making the driving experience safer.The tire's unique asymmetric tread pattern, boosted traction and all weather road grip allow for a more precise steering response. The new silica tire compound, with the tread blocks on the tire's shoulders, improve and shorten the braking distance on both wet and dry road surfaces. This makes the tire's handling effortless and its use safer.This model has a lowered rolling resistance, thanks to the special silica compound used to manufacture the tire. It offers enhanced mileage performance and lowers the vehicle's fuel consumption. The lowered fuel consumption makes the tire ecologically friendly as well, as it lessens the CO2 emissions of the vehicle.Some of the sizes of the CrossContact LX Sport tire model were manufactured with the ContiSilent technology.
