Microtex needles feature a very slim acute point, which creates beautiful topstitching and flawless straight stitches for quilt piecing when precision is required. These needles are a great choice when sewing micro fibers, polyester, silk, foils, artificial leather and coated fabric. These needles will work all household sewing machine brands and types for which needles with a flat shank are required. Most Schmetz needles include two color-coded bands just below the shank. The top color code indicates the type of needle and the lower band indicates the size. Schmetz Microtex Needles will have a purple color code on the top band.
