The high-quality blade includes flexible rubber wings down both its sides to simulate the action of a power spatula by continuously scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl, much like your car's windshield wiper blades. By continuously scraping the batter while beating, folding and mixing the ingredients, the BeaterBlade not only speeds up the process by as much as 50 percent, but also saves wear and tear on your mixer's motor by eliminating the need to turn the mixer off and on to scrape the bowl manually. Made in the U.S.A., the BeaterBlade is perfect for cakes, cookies, frostings, quick breads, compound butters, meatloaf, pie fillings, mashed potatoes, gum paste and other tasty foods. It washes easily and safely on the top rack of your dishwasher; just place it upside down on the rung, and use a bottle brush to clean the inside of the neck. It measures 10 x 7.5 x 0.8 inches.
