Note: Do NOT attempt to use this mat with gumpaste. Gumpaste is weak and will stretch out of shape when pulled off the mat. Mexican paste will also NOT work. It is stiff and will not conform to a curving surface. For this mat you need a paste combining strength and flex. Use SugarVeil. Translucent silicone mat with thickness of 3/32 inch (2mm) and area of 11-3/4 inch x 15-1/2 inch (30x40cm). Each vase-design band is 15-1/4 x 1-3/4 inch (386 x 45 mm). With the generous area covered by the pattern of paste that you peel off this mat, you can decorate wide surfaces, as on cake, with designs in relief with the delicate look of lace. The mat comes with a stiff plastic board for support.
