Beaded-Button Silicone Mold by Elisa Strauss This silicone mold converts your substance of choice into fine-detail beaded buttons that, placed on a cake, create a classic look. 1 inch x 1-1/2 inch. The ease of using this silicone mold is increased by the design of its ridges: In some places they're sharp and act as a blade for trimming off the fondant, and in other places rounder, forming a lip that helps in unmolding. Use the beaded-button mold not only with food but also with clay-like-texture products in arts and crafts applications. Produce an impression on bread dough, buttercream, royal icing, candy clay, fondant (also known as sugarpaste) and gumpaste (a.k.a. petal paste), not to mention modeling marzipan (a well-known food substance similar to almond paste) Use for shaping chocolate, fudge and butter Churn out gummy candy and hard candy with intricate shapes Make colorful spangles from sugar and boiling-hot isomalt--the silicone's heat resistance is up to 450F Give form to your gelatin, jello and aspic Since Marvelous Molds can go in the freezer, use them for ice and ice cream too.
