Ateco Heating Core Set, Stainless Steel Help cook the middle of cakes with these tools resembling gumpaste flower nails. The heating cores conduct heat into batter so cakes bake and rise evenly. Base diameter 1-1/4 inch. Height 2 inch. To use: Grease heating cores Place in pan flat side down and spaced evenly Add batter, bake Remove after baking. Use with any cake pan. How many heating cores to use: In 8, 9 or 10 inch round pan, use 1 heating core. In 12 or 14 inch round pan, use 3 heating cores. In 16 inch or larger round pan, use all 4 heating cores. In 12 x 8 inch rectangular pan, use 2 heating cores. In 13 x 9 inch rectangular pan, use all 4 heating cores.
