Using the barometric equation, the integrated processor constantly calculatesfrom the temperature-compensated air pressure values the barometric heights(based on QFE, QFK or flight level) and its variation per time unit (variometermode) In switch-selectable m/sec or ft/min. With a precision hitherto unknownfrom a matchbox-sized device, the user can now view and log in addition allaltitude information relevant to flying, mountaineering, and cycling. In logger mode me processor's arithmetic and logic unit (ALU) determines fromthe dynamic changes in the altitude values the exact take-off and landing timesof an aircraft and enters them automatically into flightlog memory. Tne threethreshold values rate of climb (roc), rate of descent (rod), and altitude threshold(Alt.) can be modified to adapt these criterias very easily to completely dffferentaircraft, whether glider, ultralight, or muttiengine business aircraft.Warning! This product is an excellent Barometric Flight Information SystemInstrument and togger. But BFIS DOES NOT replace the instruments that areinstalled in the airplane.
