The gussets are designed to prevent the top of the soil auger from twisting or bending.AMS Reinforced Regular Soil Augers are commonly used for obtaining disturbed soil samples at or near the surface in most soil conditions, and for boring to depths where soil samples may be obtained with a separate soil sampler or soil core sampler. The bits of the reinforced regular soil auger are open to allow entry of small soil clumps and relatively small rocks and particles.Reinforced Regular Augers are a special order item that may take up to one week to make.
