The window slot in the cylinder allows you to see the contained soil samples after they are collected either directly into the probe body or into a plastic liner. And, the replaceable coring tip can be easily removed and replaced after it becomes worn.Dual purpose soil recovery probes also feature the AMS 'Reach and Grab' system – which consists of a specially threaded top cap which allows the plastic liner to protrude from the top of the body. This system makes it easy to remove the liner from the probe body without disturbing the sample.The liners used with AMS dual purpose replaceable tip soil recovery probes are 1/8' diameter smaller than the soil probe diameter and 1 3/4' longer than the specified length of the sampler.
