A variety of ribbon types work well with the DTC4500e, including fluorescent ribbons, overlay ribbons and holographic laminate ribbons. This model of the DTC4500e features a magnetic stripe encoder, allowing compatible cards to be programed for use with card readers for granting access, making payments and more. The Fargo DTC4500e is an upgradable printer that can grow as your needs grow. It is known as a "modular" printer, meaning optional add-on modules can be purchased to increase the printer's capabilities. Modules include single- or dual-sided lamination, a smart card encoder, ethernet connectivity, a locking card hopper and more.
