NIBCO, CN03950, 6217 1/2" Socket Cap S - Chem-Pure Natural Polypropylene, Schedule 80The Chemtrol socket cap is an injection molded Chem-Pure natural polypropylene (PP) thermoplastic fitting. Natural color Chem-Pure fittings are used with deionized water systems, clean chemical processes, pharmaceutical operations and food processing. The Chemtrol socket cap features a female thermo-seal socket connection used to seal off piping. Chemtrol PP fittings are lightweight, easy to install and maintenance-free. Chemtrol Chem-Pure polypropylene exhibits extremely low content of metals, organic compounds, and free ions. No pigments or other adulterants (natural) are added to the plastic resin. Chem-Pure natural polypropylene demonstrates excellent chemical resistance properties, including aqueous solutions of acids, alkalis and salts, and a number of organic solvents.Features:Design stress of 1,000 psi at 73°FMaximum service temperature 180°FUniversal Part No. 7847Female thermo-seal socket connectionDo not use or test with compressed air or other gasesASTM D4101 material.
