NIBCO, CN04310, 6217-3 1/2" Thread Cap FPT - Chem-Pure Natural Polypropylene, Schedule 80The Chemtrol thread cap is an injection molded Chem-Pure natural polypropylene (PP) thermoplastic fitting. Natural color Chem-Pure fittings are used with deionized water systems, clean chemical processes, pharmaceutical operations and food processing. The Chemtrol thread cap features a female NPT thread connection and is used to seal off the end of piping. Chemtrol fittings are lightweight, easy to install and maintenance-free. Chemtrol Chem-Pure polypropylene exhibits extremely low content of metals, organic compounds, and free ions. No pigments or other adulterants (natural) are added to the plastic resin. Chem-Pure natural polypropylene demonstrates excellent chemical resistance properties, including aqueous solutions of acids, alkalis and salts, and a number of organic solvents.Features:Recommended for intermittent service not exceeding 20 psiMaximum service temperature 180°FUniversal Part No. 7848Female NPT thread connectionsDo not use or test with compressed air or other gasesASTM D4101 material.
