NIBCO, CD04000, 6533 1/2" FKM Socket Union S x S - Kynar Red PVDF, Schedule 80The Chemtrol socket union is an injection molded red Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thermoplastic fitting that features female thermo-seal connections. The Chemtrol thermo-seal socket union is supplied with an FKM fluorocarbon seal which is suited to most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum oils. It is also available with EPDM ethylene propylene seal which has good abrasion and tear resistance, plus excellent chemical resistance, but not recommended for applications involving petroleum oils or most strong acids. Chemtrol Kynar red PVDF exhibits superior strength, working temperature and chemical resistance characteristics. Red pigment provides UV protection. Kynar PVDF offers versatile chemical resistance to slats, strong acids, dilute bases and many organic solvents such as aromatics, aliphadics and chlorinated groups.
