NIBCO, CD04250, 6533-3-3 1/2" FKM Threaded Union FPT x FPT Kynar Red PVDF, Schedule 80The Chemtrol threaded union is an injection molded red Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thermoplastic fitting that features female pipe thread connections. The Chemtrol threaded union is supplied with a FKM fluorocarbon seals which is suited to most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum oils. It is also available with EPDM ethylene propylene which has good abrasion and tear resistance, plus excellent chemical resistance, but not recommended for applications involving petroleum oils or most strong acids. Chemtrol Kynar red PVDF exhibits superior strength, working temperature and chemical resistance characteristics. Red pigment provides UV protection. Kynar PVDF offers versatile chemical resistance to slats, strong acids, dilute bases and many organic solvents such as aromatics, aliphadics and chlorinated groups. PVDF is also ideally suited for handling wet or dry chlorine bromine and other halogens.Features:Design stress of 1,360 psi at 73°FMaximum service temperature 280°FUniversal Part No. 3898Female NPT thread connectionsDo not use or test with compressed air or other gasesASTM D3222 Type I material.
