Equipped with radar and armed with formidable firepower the Ju-88C-6 became a feared adversary for allied bombers flying under the cover of darkness.Gerhard Böhme and his Ju-88C-6 were actively involved in nighttime operations intercepting and engaging allied aircraft attempting to strike Axis targets in the Mediterranean region. The NJG.2 stationed in Sicily faced the challenging task of countering British and American bombers conducting night raids. The Ju-88C-6 with its advanced radar technology and potent armament was instrumental in disrupting and repelling these nocturnal air raids.This 1:72 scale model captures the distinctive feature.
