As one of the oldest airlines in North America Mexicana de Aviación commonly known as Mexicana had a storied history dating back to its founding in 1921. The Boeing 737-800W known for its winglets that enhance fuel efficiency and range was a fitting addition to the fleet symbolizing the modernization and expansion efforts of the airline in the early 21st century.The aircraft XA-ASM was part of Mexicana's fleet renewal program aimed at providing enhanced service and reliability on both domestic and international routes. The 737-800W with its increased range and passenger capacity allowed Mexicana to operate efficiently on high-density routes offering improved connectivity across the Americas.
