The high-grade optical components mounted on a heavy, rigid base plate for precise and reProducible measurements. Beyond the first beam splitter, the two parts of the split beam take different paths to the second beam splitter, where they are once again superimposed. This means that by adding in polarisation filters, it is possible for the two beams to be differently polarised. The large optical components permit a generation of clear and well-defined interference patterns , which can even be viewed in daylight as the tilt of the two reflecting observation screens can be adjusted. Pre-defined component positions allow quick rearrangement to ensure extremely rapid preparation for the various experiments.
