The tape should be applied at room temperature before being placed in liquid nitrogen or ultra-low temperature freezers for subsequent storage. Writable with permanent cryo markers, the tape for metal racks can withstand storage in liquid nitrogen, transportation on dry ice, multiple freeze-thaw cycles as well as gamma irradiation (up to 50 KGy).
