The Bair Hugger system has revolutionized forced-air warming by providing clinicians access to comfort and clinical warming in one product throughout the perioperative process. With a single gown, patients may be prewarmed before surgery then clinically warmed during surgery when connected to a Bair Hugger warming unit. The gown continues to warm in PACU, with both comfort and clinical capabilities. The Bair Hugger + gown offers patient-adjustable warming and includes a second clinical hose port in the lower portion of the gown, eliminating the need to reposition the gown when a procedure requires lower body warming. The small size gown is ideal for warming adolescent and petite surgical patients. Lower extremities are often cold before and after surgery. Booties, in conjunction with the gown, can help keep the patient comfortable.
