The Neurite Outgrowth recipe detects cell bodies and traces neurite extensions in fluorescence images and provides a comprehensive suite of measurements for quantifying neuritesQuantify Neurites in Any Environment. The Neurite Outgrowth recipe in SVCell RS detects cell bodies and neurites in the same fluorescence image without requiring a nuclear dye to identify the individual cell body. Simply load your image, set the presets, and apply. You will get two sets of detections - one for the cell body and one for the neurites. Neurites and the relevant measurements (i.e. length, branch and end points) are associated with individual cells. Single cell data is important for understanding heterogeneous populations with mixed neuronal characteristics. You can easily refine the detection results with the Recipe Console or use the editing tools to get a perfect result.
