The wall plate comes with mounting hardware and detailed installation instructions, including a cutout template to ensure that you cut a hole in the wall that is the perfect fit. It mounts to the wall using lugs that grip the drywall from behind, so no additional mounting holes or wall anchors are needed.The duplex surge receptacle is rated for 15 amps/1875 watts, 125 volts. The replaceable SurgeBloc® (8477) is rated for 340 joules and can handle a peak suppression voltage of 1,000 VAC and a maximum surge current of 12,000 amps.
