They are composed of chemically stable components allowing filtration of aqueous liquids as well as harsh solvents. The reservoir and lid parts consist of one piece made of PP (polypropylene). In addition the lid part has a sealing made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) which enables a light lid closure.
