AMS, 58540, Hex QP Open FaceThe unique design of the open-face auger allows for quickerpenetration into combination soils. Its advanced cutting headhelps the auger pull itself into the ground with little effort andyields quicker soil penetration. The cylinder is made of thick, 10gauge, high-carbon steel. The special cutting head and thick bodymake the open-face auger especially useful in tough combinationsoils – from mud and clay to hard-pan. The open design also allowsfor a quick visual profile of the sample and for easy soil extraction.
