It is specially designed to give the user more clearance between their eyes and the microscope. The high eyepoint models also use a newly designed eyepiece with a wider designed lens to compliment the high eyepoint models (MA522 10X, MA818 15X, MA819 20X). Optional rubber eye guards (MA906) are also accessible.The EMZ-8UH has a special inlet for a single arm fiber optic light guide which allows illumination to be paralleled to the optic path; it is also designed for observing objects that are normally difficult to see under oblique incident-light illumination such as holes or cracks, scratches on metal surfaces, IC chips and liquid crystal patterns. The EMZ-8UH is designed for high-contrast images and has an excellent zoom range of 6.5:1 that is parfocalled all throughout the zoom range. It also includes Greenough optics for improved image flatness and contrast which results in brighter images at the periphery of the field of view. With the large zoom range, the EMZ-8UH offers high resolution observation in precision-oriented semi-conductor, medical device and routine inspection.
