That is why the standard Penetration Probes for RF500 do not come with probe handles.The Penetration Probes for RF500 Wireless Monitoring System, come in the form of a stainless steel pointed shaft, as shown below.The Penetration Probes are designed to be inserted into samples so that the temperature recorded will accurately represent the sample. However, unlike the Air Probes, the Penetration Probes potentially are destructive to the sample, i.e. it cannot be used as intended. Or alternatively, the sample is simply representative of the true item, e.g. A Glycol filled Blood Bag.
