The editor software packages for macOS® and Windows®, linked in the Support Files section below, allow you to change the parameters of each hardware key, pad, and slider. Additionally, they allow you to change the default mapping of the controller. They help producers and musicians in the creative process. The SRP12 features 12 backlit, velocity sensitive pads, which are ideal not just for tapping out beats or triggering samples, but also in composing melodies or playing other types of virtual instruments. Unlike other basic pad controllers, the Stage Right™ SRP12 features 6 MIDI Machine Control (MMC) buttons for controlling a sequencer. If you don't need to control a sequencer, you can map the buttons for transport control within any DAW software. The SRP12 isn't simply a beat‑making tool, but a powerful addition to your DAW. The SRP12 is USB powered, so you can take it with you and use it with your laptop anywhere.
