The Black Arts Design Gauge Protector for the RAW HM1000 not only protects the gauge face and body but also has a built in tether for the fill port cover. Fill port covers are great to have. They keep dust and debris from fouling your port and probes and protect them form dings and dents. The only issue is they are small an readily wander off to the floor or ground never to be seen again. The tether slips on and locks into the groove around the fill port cover. The part is made of a flexible rubberized plastic which is capable of flexing and absorbing impacts actually protecting the gauge while giving it that blacked out look. *** Also compatible with the HM1000 Micro Hunter*** Material - TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) TPU was selected for its rubber-like qualities. Due to its high elongation, TPU is capable of absorbing impacts where traditional plastics or metals will simply transmit that force to the gauge itself.
