Built to provide the ultimate balance of toughness and sensitivity, the Shimano Twin Power XD FA Spinning Reels are in a league of their own when it comes to inshore spinning reels. The Twin Power XD FA has been significantly upgraded for the 2021 fishing season, and is officially the toughest offering among Shimano's Magnumlite Series of reels. The new Twin Power XD is equipped with Shimano's MGL Rotor to provide light, sensitive rotation for increased control while working a lure or jig with highly specific intentions. By reducing the required startup inertia, the MGL Rotor allows anglers to have more precise reactions to bites by bringing tension to the line to drive the hooks home at a moment's notice. Ultra-durable cold forged Hagane Gears with Micro Module II technology provide anglers with a smooth retrieve that withstands the test of time. A rugged aluminum Hagane Body resists torque and flex under heavy loads, keeping the internal components properly aligned for maximum transmission of power throughout the life of the reel. Thanks to a host of other proprietary Shimano technologies like Silent Drive and X-Protect, anglers can expect the silky smooth operability and rock solid dependability that they have come to expect from Shimano.
