Aftco FGH10SS Fly Gaff Hook sits in a tough plastic insert fitted into the tip of the gaff and is held in place by a length of 20 lb. line tied to a steel post on the shaft. When the fish is gaffed, this line snaps to provide a clean and immediate release. Made for Aftco Taper-tip Flying Gaff. This hook is barbed and made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel. It will not straighten out while it is in use. This hook features a triangular point that allows for better penetration and is easily sharpened.
