Double Deck Outdoor Cedar Wood Cat House Shelter

The Double Deck house is perfect for additional cats and the extra floor is ideal. It has the same features as the standard house (details below). Both levels have a deck, and the door and window are reversed on each level. If ordering the optional 12" high stand, the extra wide version provides additional room on the first level for a cat to get up to the top level.The Cat House Shelter is built with solid 3/4" thick weather resistant cedar boards for solid strong construction. The front has a overhanging roof and a 22" wide by 6 1/2" deep front deck. The inside is a roomy 18 1/2" wide by 15" deep rectangle, plenty of room for larger cats to walk in, turn around to find the perfect corner to nestle or hang out by the 8" high by 6 1/2" wide door.The vinyl door and window flaps are removed from most of the pictures to show the inside. Click on them to enlarge.The 5" by 5 1/2" side window provides light and a lookout, perfect for cats who do not like to be closed in. It is large enough for many cats to use as an escape. There is visibility to all sides, to the front and the side from the door, the other side and towards the back from the window. There is plenty of room for many cat heating pads including K & H"s 12 1/2" x 18 1/2" Extreme Weather Kitty Pad.To keep the elements out, the door and window come with very strong industrial grade vinyl flaps. They can be removed and re installed with a screw driver if desired. The door threshold is raised which keeps heating pads or bedding such as straw inside and dry. Access for cleaning the inside is very easy by simply removing the roof. It is held securely in place by a custom pin and hook system. Remove the pin in front, which also is a grate hook to hang a toy, and lift the roof off. Underneath the floor / deck is 2 flat support boards which raises it off the ground by about 1". Put it on your outdoor deck or porch, or placed on 4 bricks or cement pads to keep it higher off the ground. Optionally, 12" high stands are available.Take it out of the box and setup is almost complete. Attaching a bracket with 2 screws, hook on the roof and your done, there is no additional assembly! All the walls and floor are nailed and water proof glued together for extra strength. Included is a peel and stick 4" x 20" traction grit strip for the deck which can be applied if desired. These are the same traction strips used on our cedar step items.The weather and bug resistant cedar is sanded to a smooth surface and shipped unfinished. It will weather to a light gray patina or the customer can seal, paint or stain.The strips shown on the roof are commercial grade vinyl "T" strips used to seal gaps between the cedar board edges. We use silicone sealer to fasten them onto the roof. This allows the cedar boards to contract and expand without cracking. Options:12" high standard and extra wide stands made with cedar sides and pressure treated legs raises the house above ground and gives a higher view. Free shipping when order with house.Optional Insulation:Insulation helps keep the cat houses warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Solid 1" thick rigid foam insulation is used, and the surfaces are covered with extra strong polymer claw resistant and bug proof screening.
